~ THE PRAYER OF JABEZ ~
A HONORABLE MAN
OF OLD TESTAMENT TIMES

YOUR TROUBLES OR SORROW CAN BRING JOY THROUGH PRAYER !
AND YOU PRAYING YOUR OWN THOUGHTS !
THE PRAYER OF JABEZ DID BRING RESULTS FOR HIM !
BUT REMEMBER, GOD WANTS TO HEAR YOUR PRAYER FROM YOU !

I JOHN 5:14 " And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: "

I CHRONICLES 4: 9-10

V:9 " And Jabez was more honorable than his brethren: and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, Because I bare him with sorrow. "
V:10 " And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me ! And God granted him that which he requested. "

The above underlined prayer was a soul stiring prayer that even to-day is transforming lives all over the world. It was spoken thousands of years ago by a poor, but honorable herdsman by the name of Jabez.
This prayer could be your breaking through to a more blessed life beyond your wildest dreams. How ever we must realize that everything that comes from our prayer requests, must meet God's conditions and his will. Jabez is advocating in his prayer request a belief that it will happen as he requested and folks, prayer will not work any other way.

MARK 9:23 " Jesus said unto him, IF THOU CANST BELIEVE, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE TO HIM THAT BELIEVETH. "

PRAYER, is man's communion with his creator, the highest expression of man's religious nature. From the beginning of the Bible to the end, prayer plays a major part. It is also a petition to entreat, implore and ask.
ASK, in the Bible could mean the following:
[1] INQUIRE- MARK 9:32 " But they understood not that saying, and were afraid to ASK him. "
[2] DEMAND- DANIEL 2:10 " The Chaldeans answered before the king, and said, There is not a man upon the earth that can shew the king's matter: therefore there is no king, lord, nor ruler, that ASKED such things at any magician, or astrologer, or Chaldean. "
[3] PRAY- JAMES 1:6 " But let him ASK in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. "
[4] SEEK COUNSEL- ISAIAH 30:2 " That walk to go down into Egypt, and have not ASKED at my mouth; to strengthen themselves in the strength of Phar'-aoh, and to trust in the shadow of Egypt ! "
[5] EXPECT- LUKE 12:48 " But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they willASK the more. "
Remember this: I THESSALONIANS 5:17 " PRAY WITHOUT CEASING. "
We to often quit or give up because we do not believe that God heard us. However the word make it plain who God hears: JOHN 9:31 " Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth."

As a Pastor, my advice to any one seeking answers from God is, that you live up to God's terms and conditions and then in everything that you do or ask, be assured God will be hear and act upon that which will bring to your soul great blessing and results. Remember, The prayer of Jabez is an Old Testament example, however what was a line of success in answered prayer for him in his day will not apply to you and your life to-day. If however, you make your prayer request, believing and meeting God's conditions, there is no limit to what God will and can do for you and I truly believe that with all my heart. Please remember in todays life there are no quick fix's or set prayer examples, but being in God's will with our requests, there are many great miracles just waiting for you to claim. Check on the time below and realize that right now, its your time to pray for and receive what God has in store for your life, and begin your request with a sincere heart, believing it will come to pass. Remember, Prayer, is man's communion with his creator, the highest expression of man's religious nature. From the beginning of the Bible to the end, prayer plays a major part. But we must also consider that in the New Testament, Jesus taught his disciples how to pray [ Matthew 6:9-13 ] and He said: " After this manner therefore pray ye: " thus giving them an outline not a " fixed " prayer to follow. God Bless !
