OUR LOVED ONES

~ ~ ~ GOING HOME ~ ~ ~Overflows within my heart His peace and Grace each step I trod. Here on earth I'm but a pilgrim, but a soldier for my Lord, Knowing when my course is ended, Jordan's tide I'll gently ford. With His promise, my passage, and His Presence for my guide, 'Twon't be long to reach rejoicing, in that throng on Heaven's side. You can have the same assurance just trusting Christ, naught more, Faith will keep the road, Salvation bring you safe to Dawning's shore. Don't
think of them as gone away,
Just
think of them as resting
Think
of how they must be wishing
And
think of them as living

~ ~ ~ WE WERE MARRIED FOR SIXTY YEARS ~ ~ ~
I'm following the path God laid for me. I took God's hand when I heard the call; I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day. If my parting has left a void, Be not burdened with times of sorrow, Perhaps my time seemed all too brief;
When the time comes my way, and I'm getting old and grey, I pray that there will be folk's who will always remember me, Lord as I gave them a loving smile, that told them " I LOVED THEM " and would go the extra mile. And dear Lord, please remember me, as one who tried to give back to this old world more than most of us folks could afford, but did it any way because it was in your accord. Most folk's today would ask, " Why would anybody do such a thing ? " Well it's very plain to see, folk's , it's because my Saviour has given so much to me. He gave me a smile to share with others, and lots of Sisters and Brothers. A great life and a family full of love, fun and joy. Girls to show my talents too, and Boy's to tell my life's stories of growing up. A good husband and a great friend, that I know will be by my side and know our love is one that will last til the end ! And yes ! Folk's, you got that right, I'm getting old and gray and not to good of sight. But dear one's, remember me when I was young and strong. I never thought for a moment about old age and all of the things that could go wrong. But folk's, hear me now ! Don't fret because for you there is still a lot of time and much that needs be done, win souls for God's Glory, and never get to old to tell others of your story. How a Saviour saved you, with all of His Glory ! Now in these days that lay ahead, only God knows what is in store and when He comes " Knocking " I'll be ready at the door ! Through all of this, ny husband and I will continue our walk together with Him in this old earth, thanking " Dear Jesus " for our new birth ! And as we hold one another's hand and share our earthly love one for another, we realize the end is near and we have nothing to fear ! And so " DEAR ONE'S, when this old life is over, and we gather on that golden shore. There we will be holding hands again for ever more. " I'LL SEE YOU ALL IN THE MORNING, RITA ! "

ROBERT KEITH ALLEN WHO WENT TO BE WITH THE LORD ON MARCH 15, 2004
He put His arms around you, and lifted you to rest; God's garden must be beautiful, He always take the best. He knew that you were suffering, He knew you were in pain; He knew that you would never get, well on earth again. He saw the road was getting rough, And the hills were hard to climb; So He closed your weary eyelids, and whispered, " Peace be thine. " It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn't go alone; For part of us went with you, THE DAY GOD CALLED YOU HOME !
The badge doesn’t shine quite so bright today.
It’s lost some of its luster.
The many things it must have seen through the years, some good, a lot of bad, but always held up with the courage, strength and knowledge brought by experience.
You could see the badge coming from across the yard with that familiar gait, that beautiful head of carefully placed hair, a twinkle in those eyes and a mischievous grin for a smile.
