"Well what do we do now?"
The group of friends stood in the parking lot, the only change was that the whole anticpation was over, and the band was well recieved.
"Man, this sucks the big one. I mean, I was so wanting to get into see them."
"I just have one question for you Ike. Why! Why do you need to talk to these guys so bad? Is it jealousy? What? I mean, it's not the end of your life!"
To Isaac it was. Hell, maybe all this popularity made him feel like he was on top of hte world, and that no one could knock him off. So maybe his ego was a little to large now.
It was bound to happen.
"I'm just curious guys. I mean. Think about it. I would think you guys would be too."
"Whatever Ike. It doesn't matter anyway. We won't see or hear from them again, and then you'll see that all this paranoia is for nothing. Get in the car Ike."
"Lets follow them."
The entire group sucked in this huge breath, all in unison. One by one they each realized who said it.
"My god Zac. That would get us in so much trouble. I mean, man, nope, count me out. I can't believe you would suggest that."
"Why not? Ike wants to see them so bad. So lets follow them. Can't be that hard can it?"
There were murmers and whispers throughout them. No one really saying what they thought.
"Did I just hit an adventerous streak? Or are you all silent for nothing."
"I'm not doin' it guys. I have to much to risk. Man, they looked mean anyway. Snotty, yeah real snotty, and like, jerks. So lets leave them alone ok."
Most of the crowd agreed. Lets leave them all alone. It was an excuse. The mean thing would not be really any threat anyway. There were a bunch more of them then there were the people in that band.
They could handle it. It was more the 'getting caught' that scared them. No one wanted to actually get caught doing something bad like that.
"Fine. We'll just follow them home, won't knock on the door, just see where they live. Then maybe later we'll go say hey or somethin'. Deal?"
"You guys go ahead, we'll just get goin' home ok."
So then it was unanymous. The only people amongst them that wanted to go now were Isaac, Zac, and maybe Taylor. Although Taylor had not quite voiced his opinion yet.
"Sounds good. And we'll talk to all you guys later ok."
The friends split up. sliding into cars, more than on the trip there, because the hansons were not taking anyone home, the people had to cram into other cars. It was settled then.
They would all talk tommorow.
Climbing up onto the roof of the car, Zac sat cross legged.
"Now to wait."
The hall was dimly lit also, only the light was soft yellow, above, flickering flourescent lights shed a low light.
The bouncer's shoes could be heard making a squeaking noise as he walked further and further down the hall. Taking a right, then a left, and continuing his journey to a specific room.
As of now the Club was empty, except for the bouncers working that night, and the supervisors and people that worked there. It was silent, extremely quiet compared to when the place was packed like it had been earlier tonight.
Some of the workers were sweeping garbage up off the floor, others were wiping the high bar tables off, and others were washing walls. It seemed a tiring job.
The large man that was known as 'the personal Dentra' stepped into a door way covered by a cloth. The man was called such because he was the largest of the bouncers working there, and he was usually the one they called for security at the who's what show's at Benks. For every show they did.
This cloth was painted, hand prints, designs made as if custom. The room was better lit then the rest of the place.
A large lamp stood in one corner, casting enough light to light the room quite sufficiantly, and yet, there was another hanging light, directly in the center of the room.
"Hey man! Was up!"
Jeremy liked him the best. His sense of humor needed work, and he did not really like conversations, but when he did crack jokes, the whole room would bust up. He was just too funny, his awkwardness and all.
"Hey Jeremy."
"Thank you kind sir, for saving me from the evil's of fans. He he he."
He smiled. Turning to Mercy he performed a small bow and replied.
"M absolute pleasure Ms. Dentra."
The room was fairly large. Two couches occupied it, an end table sitting by one, a counter that took up the entirety of one wall, a fridge that sat next to it a recleining chair, a coffee table that sat in the middle of the room, and an entertainment system
that sat against the third wall. They sometimes spent an entire day before a show there, they would bring some food, drinks, a couple movies and a lot of music and sit and wait. Today had been no different.
"You guys would never believe who I just saw. Or at least I think I saw anyway."
Zac was too busy watching Mtv after hours and vaguely listening to Mercy, for either of them to really hear what they said.
But the bouncer had Dorin and Jeremy's full attention.
"Spill it bud."
A smile slowly grew from the center of his face to the bottoms of his ears.
"Dangit. TELL USSSS!!"
The sound and sight of a 32 year old bouncer singing Mmmbop incorrectly was absolutely hystericall. The sound came out completely audible, and squeaky, like the man had never had taken the time to sing in his entire life.
His facial expresions were a certain hanson's, over exagerated of course.
Mercy and Zac looked up. Eyes wide as if, aliens taking over their favoriet security gaurds body must have been the reason for this outburst.
Dorin started laughing, at first it was just a stupid smile, then his eyebrows had gone up and he had burst out laughing.
Jeremy was soon to follow, but Mercy and Zac sat in confusion to the entire situation.
"No way! You think Hanson was at the club tonight! That is so funny!"
When it looked as though Zac's eyes could get no bigger, they did. A smile broke on his face and
he could not help but chuckle.
"That's disgusting. Hanson. Gross."
Mercy's face had turned into one of disgust.
"Hey Mercy, we got new 'famous' fans, eh. What do ya think?"
She mustered a fake shiver.
"Nasty."
"You really think they were here? What about that little one?"
"Uh, Jeremy," this was one instance that Zac just had to interupt. "his name would be Zac, like me, remember."
"Shut up man. At least I don't know their names."
Zac stuck out his tongue at Jeremy.
"Yeah, I swear it was them. You know how my daughter loves them. Especially that young one. Hey Zac, I think I should introduce you to my girl."
"Ha ha, oh so very funny dude."
"Do you really think it was them?"
"Pretty sure. I didn't see the little one though, the older two would be the ones I saw. But it looked like them.
"Oh great, HANSON saw me. Damnit. Damnit all to hell."
The room looked at her.
"Mey, shut up man, put it this way. You were just completely turned off by a hanson. You won't be flirting for weeks, and you will not try and reveal any skin at another show forever! He he he. Have fun!"
"Zac I'm gonna kill ya!"
The whole idea of hanson being at their show had come as somewhat of a shock. No, more like cold water in the middle of a hot shower.
What were they doing here anyway?
"Oh well. I'm tired. Lets get a move on."
After the show, workers had already packed up who's what's equipment. What little equipment they had. It was already in the back of the space cab, waiting to go home.
"Hey man, someone's comin'!"
Taylor was looking out the window when the other two looked to where he was pointing.
Three guys stepped outside, one of them standing under the lamp attatched to the building, looking at his keys.
A big guy, the bouncer from inside, held the door open for the girl.
"What are they doin' Tay?"
"They are talking, but I can't make out the words! Man, this sucks!"
The guy with the keys finally found the one he was looking for, and started walking to a blue truck type thing and opened the door.
The rest of the kids followed, opening the door on the otherside and climbing in.
"The big dude is yelling to them, goodbye it sounds like."
The blue car started, waited a couple seconds, and then backed up, swinging around and driving out into the street.
The hansons waited until the car had pulled out onto the major street before they started the car. Keeping their lights off, just like they had seen in movies,
they crept up the street behind the other car.
They didn't have to wait long. The appartments weren't far from the club.
They were brown on the outside, fairly small. The cab pulled to a stop. The hansons stopped a short way up the street, close enough to
see the four kids, but not close enough to be seen themselves.
"I wonder where their parents are?"
"Maybe they just stay home."
When the group of four went inside, and closed the door to the outside, the hansons pulled closer.
There wasn't much to see, but the whole idea was so they could come back later. Talk later.
"That's all I wanted. Lets go now."
"Ike, uh, this is stupid."
Isaac pulled out anyway, despite the comment from the back seat.
The bouncer walked through the cement halled floor. Some of the rooms that sat off the halls had doors, others just had a silky fabric hanging over them. All varied in color, even the doors were
colorfull, like some artist had been assigned them as an art piece.
The night was chilly, maybe a little warmer than a month ago, but still cold. The wait was tiring. It was now four in the morning, and no one had come from the doors, on the side, or the front.
The hansons sat in their car, talking sometimes, other times thinking, and music always playing.
