Taylor slept well. His dreams were calming down.
Since the Eric incident, he had been somewhat afraid to fall asleep, only because when sleep came, so did the several reoccuring dreams.
They weren't anything horrible, just enough to make you sit up and have a tough time going back to sleep.
When he did awake, his parents had left with his younger siblings, and Zac and Isaac sat downstairs in front of the tv, watching saturday morning cartoons.
"Morning Tay. You were talking last night."
Taylor sighed. He did talk in his sleep, but lately, it too had been pushed up a notch.
"Sorry if I kept you guys up."
"No problemmo Tay."
Isaac looked at his younger brother. SOmething was bothering him.
"Hey tay, Zac, wanna head on over to the Dentra's?"
Zac brightened up at the thought.
"Yeah!"
Zac raced to his room, drawers could be heard slamming as he rumaged for some sort of clashing pants to match his clashing shirt to match his clashing shoes.
"What's the matter tay?"
Taylor wrinkled his nose.
"Nothing."
"You sure?"
"Positive."
Isaac was cut off by his brother and friend yell and do some strange dance around the front yard.
Shaking his head, he stepped from the car.
"Hey Ike, what's up?"
Jeremy walked from the house, keys in one hand, a CD in the other.
"Comin' here, you?"
"Going over to Nikki's."
"Ooohhhhh."
Isaac had been utterly surprised, for one, that Jeremy was even with nikki still, and two, the fact that they had been fighting just before they had left for the video.
"Have fun Jem."
Jeremy shrugged. A look of doubt written across his face.
As Jeremy's car pulled out, Dorin stepped from the house.
"Oh hey Ike!"
"Morning Door, where you goin'?"
"Studio, hey, wanna come?"
Isaac shrugged. Why the hell not?
Grabbing his keys from the car, he leaned across to taylor.
"Wanna come?"
Taylor, a scowl on his face said nothing.
"Why are you in a bad mood?"
"You're leaving me here with Mercy."
"I asked if you wanted to come."
"I don't want to go to the studio."
Isaac pulled out of the car. Mumbling something about male PMS.
Dorin pulled the truck out of the driveway, and waited until Isaac got in. Yelling through the open window to the two Zac's, telling them to behave, and having them thumb thier noses at him.
Pulling away, and heading down the street.
Jeremy, Dorin, and now Isaac. He only had his brother and their brother to save him from the medusa inside.
Running over to the window, and plastering his face across it, Zac hanson made strange noises at his brother.
"Get out of the car Taaaaaayyyyylllooooorrrrr!"
Pulling open the door, and grabbing Taylor's hand.
Zac Hanson placed his fists firmly on his hips.
"Who are you to say...."
"You aren't leaving me here."
"We're not taking you with. You've stayed here enough times."
The two Zac's roller bladed to the door.
"Good bye taylor. We'll be back later."
Taylor shot his brother a wicked scowl.
Stumbling out the door, leaving taylor to himself, Han and D rolled down the side walk and to the street.
Throwing herself down next to taylor, she grabbed the clicker from him.
"Oh thanks."
She turned to him. Grabbing him by the chin and turning his face to hers.
"I told you I was going to be nice didn't I."
"Not specifically."
She rolled her eyes. Letting go of his face and turning to the tv.
"God it's getting cold in here."
"Yeah, ever since you entered the room."
She slapped him on the shoulder.
Watching Disney most intently, she sank back into the sofa. Trying to find soem warmth that wasn't there.
Eventually, through the disney movie, she had grown quite cold, her feet being ice cicles, and she had moved closer to taylor for body heat.
He hadn't noticed.
Starting to shiver, she curled up next to him, subconciously if nothing else, and that he noticed.
"What are you doing?"
She leaned back.
"Nothing! I'm frozen!"
He pushed her away.
"Too bad. Go get a blanket or something. Not me, your making me cold."
She looked at him.
"I don't want to! You work just fine!"
"I don't care! Go get a blanket."
She frowned.
Standing up she walked up the stairs to her room and grabbed a blanket.
Curling back up on the sofa, her feet thouroughly entwined in it, she relaxed again.
"Aren't you going to share?"
She looked at him in awe.
"You did not just ask me if I was going to share did you?"
She smiled, and playfully punched him.
Grabbing a corner of the blanket, he started pulling it from her.
"You dork! give it back!"
They started in a brief game of tug o' war.
"I'm just as cold as you are!"
"You big goon! let go!"
Leaning across his lap to grab the rest of the blanket out of his far hand she slipped, falling into his lap.
"Look who's in a bad spot now."
She pulled back, blushing furiously.
A grin spread wide across his face, noticing an opportunity, Taylor raised one eyebrow and yanked the rest of the blanket from her.
"Give it back!"
She didn't dare reach for it.
"He he he. Come 'n get it."
She blushed again. Standing up and going to her room to retrieve yet another blanket.
"Mey? Don't you want this one?"
She stuck her tongue out at him. Flipping her hair at him and coming back moments later with her new found warmth.
"Wanna play tug a war still there Mercy?"
She scowled at him, punching him harder then before.
Resting back down into the sofa, she mumbled something.
"What was that?"
"I just called you a big goon."
"Mmm."
"Bop."
"What?"
"You just said Mmm. And I said bop."
"Oooo kay."
"Hey you created this monster, not me."
He rolled his eyes.
"He did just fine. He's gotten used to pissing her off enough."
"True enough."
Dorin pulled into the driveway. No sign of Jeremy's car. Must still be at nikki's.
"That stuff you caught on tape was awesome man."
Isaac complimented Dorin on his guitar playing that day.
"You weren't so bad your self."
Isaac shrugged.
"I've been meaning to ask you something Isaac."
"What's that."
"Have you and Angie been getting along better then usual?"
Isaac blushed.
Angie. Angie had been an aquantance of the Hansons for some time now, she had never really been friends with them. She was one of those girls that had no time for much but her school work and
her female friends going shopping, what not. But lately, she and Isaac had spent enough time together.
"No. The same as always."
"Yeah right."
"Yeah right what!"
Dorin smiled.
"Man, you should just like, I don't know."
"I'm not like, dating her."
"Did I say you were?"
"No, but I know you are going to say something to that affect."
"You should."
"Too young."
"Ike man! She's 16! That's not too young for you!"
"Yeah it is."
Dorin shook his head. Whatever Isaac wanted to think.
Taylor had not paid much attention to the growing weight resting on his arm until he heard the car door slam.
"Oh man! Mey!"
Mercy had quite fallen asleep on him, her head leaning on his shoulder and her shoulder pushing on his arm.
"Just great."
The front door swung open.
Dorin burst out in laughter. Quiet enough however, not to wake his sister.
"Tay! Hokay! Ha ha ha ha! Man!"
Taylor rolled his eyes.
"What's so funny door? Nothing! She just fell asleep, I can't help it!"
Taylor had this growing feeling this would not be let down for some time.
Isaac had been struggling to hold in his chuckles.
"Sheesh bro, what were you thinking?"
Taylor had to smile. Okay. So this looked like, well, he was sure it didn't look like what it was supposed to look like.
"She just fell asleep Ike. Nothing else. She's just laying here."
"Ssuuurrrreeee."
"Ike!"
Isaac smiled.
"I know dipstick. Boy, she looks like she just hates you, doesn't it."
Breaking out in another chorus of laughter, Dorin and Isaac disappeared into the kitchen.
Taylor sat in thought.
If she hated him so much, then how come she had used him as a pillow?
Girls.
Taylor had never really understood them.
"Zac! You don't need to yell..."
"No you aren't leaving me!"
"You scared the shit out of me."
"I wonder how Taylor managed."
Mercy had slowly felt her eyelids drop. Uncontrolably at that. She hated when that happened.
