November 7th at SLUH...WHERE WE'VE NEVER PLAYED BEFORE, CONTRARY TO POPULAR BELIEF... Yeah, some battle of the bands thing. Here we go again...no money unless we sin, uh, WIN, and we're signed up as "Dave and The Hitchhikers." E-mail Dave if you want tickets. We're playing last, it starts at 7 and goes to 11 (all pm). Other bands that'll be there are No Solution, Stunt Dublez, Parking Lot B (I'm sorry Beth, but apparantly SLUH thinks they're good or something...) and The Special Guest...OH WAIT!! They dropped out. Fine with me because they make the crowd all mad and they don't enjoy us as much. Important Announcement from The Editor Reports of a second Hitch news page, seemingly identical to this one, have been followed up and proven true. It seems as if in our pursuit for the true story of The Hitchhikers and all their fans/anti-fans, one certain person has been somehow offended and taken it upon herself to create a fake Hitchhiker news page. PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS ILLEGAL PIRATE COPY OF OUR NEWS!!! The differences are few and subtle, but they are there. Following is a list of variances: 1.Note the Geocities logo in the lower right hand corner of the screen in the pirated copy of this page. We here at Hitchquarters only use Angelfire communications because the devil has set up it's page on geocities. 2. The News story entitled "MEGAN HARPER SPOTTED AT A HITCH CONCERT!!" has a few errors in it on the pirated page, not to mention it is full of misleading information. Saturday. October 3rd, 1998-A Night For The Hitchhikers to Remember. We played well. There was no big crowd, but we played well and the people there liked us at least. That's something. And reports that we were spotted the next day at Ursuline's Battle of the Bands are all false, you have no proof, go home now.

****EXTRA EXTRA****MEGAN HARPER SPOTTED AT A HITCH CONCERT!! You heard it here first folks. Megan Harper, who has blatently disrespected this band and it's members, has been to a few concerts, and has even hung out with these so called "losers". WE HAVE PROOF AND WITNESSES!!! But here's the real kicker-she says she always hated us. So why hang out with us if she hated us? Was it just because her friends were doing it? Maybe...all attempts at personal interviews have been futile which is okay because I want nothing to do with her anymore ever again! But if she did go just because her friends were doing it, wouldn't that make her a group follower? So say The Hitchhikers get incredibly popular and every one of her friends worships us...doesn't that mean she has to as well? YES! But will we allow her at our concerts? HELL NO! She will have to wait outside the gate and stare along with anybody who comes with her to our shows from now on. Now what made me have this opinion of her? Well, let's just say that all my attempts at friendship were thwarted by her being a complete nut-case. So why did I persist? Well, she kept haning with us and coming to our concerts...you'd think she'd want to be my friend or something. I think what she needs is a big bunch of friends that jump off cliffs for fun. Ska Loses in Battle to the Death at Nerinx! Nerinx Hall, Friday September 11th-5 bands took the stage, all with fans out there already. Some concert goers came to vote for one specific band, others to see what was up and make a decision then and there. The prediction; Ska would win. They had popularity and advantage of numbers. 3 ska bands to two non ska bands. Who will win? Three very prominent ska bands against two shadowy unestablished bands. The Line-up: Stunt Doubelz(young but established Ska band), Paradise(young and unestablished jam band), The Red Stripe All Stars(very prominent ska), The Hitchhikers(new, young, unique, unestablished) and the Kinetics(very very prominent Stlska band). First place was certainly destined to go to The Kinetics. But alas for all the skankers and rude boys! The Kinetics took a fall to what is not "popular." Paradise took first. That's fine, who got second then? What? A mere twenty votes behind paradise is the who? The Hitchhikers? They're not ska!! What the hell is up with this? I'll tell you. Ska is dying. Dying as in last year it was big, this year what do you think they're wrapping dead hamsters in? The ska show flyers from the hey-day of Stl Ska. Good for such bands as The Hitchhikers, No Refund, Paradise, One Swift Kick and Mispent Youth. Bad for all those trendy musicians who must now find another instrument to play and hang their saxs, trumpets and trombones in the closet. HAHA!! NO MORE SKA!!!!

Dave DeCaro is...A WOMAN!!!!

Dave DeCaro, Rhythm Guitarist, has taken it upon himself to become a woman. So that is what he did. He is now a she. Dave is now ample chested, wider hipped, and hot!! Steamy hot!! I don't know about you, but even before he became a woman he was hot. And now...wow!! the operation is sometime next Tuesday. See ya after!
