A
PEDIGREE WITH LOTS OF FINLEY RIVER BREEDING 2004 was our first year of attending the bigger Shows and Hunts. We
have always been partial to the Finley River bred hounds and wanted something
with looks and hunting ability. We decided then if we were going to compete we wanted to buy dogs that could win at the State & National level.
I fell in love with Gold Dust Excaliber and the X generation dogs after seeing them in the magazines most of the year. Then seeing Excaliber and X-Factor in person sold us. We had never seen hounds as beautiful as these boys at our local shows.
Thanks to Phil Newland & Amanda Alexander for breeding our
females. We now have our own 17 Excaliber bred puppies to choose
from. 7 directly out of Excaliber and 10 out of
X-Factor. We are looking forward to seeing the pups in the Winners
Circle someday. Thanks to all who bought puppies and wish you the best in
the future. I have the extended pedigree on these dogs and Finley River
Little Hawk, Finley River Nite Hawk, are listed several times, along with Mears
F.R. Dan III, Wiley's Finley River Rocket, Finley R Finney, Mainquist Finley R.
Jo, Monroe's Finley River Joe, Finley River Fanney, Finley River Mike, along
with Mundo, and Ball's Hickory Nut Harry. Not only are these dogs

2nd time on live coon.
This is Sparky a 5 year old Rat Terrier who helps us start our pups to bark on live coon. We find pups are intimidated by a big dog but this little dog fires them up. If we don't get to start our pups in kill season we will show them a live coon a few times, then take them out in the day and let them watch it run off. We then turn them loose to find it. They
usually catch on after 2 times, then are hunted with older dogs and coons shot out.
