My First Braves' Game

On Saturday, August 28th, 1998, I went to my first Braves' game. I don't know how I got so lucky, but I was able to see Tom Glavine pitch. The Braves were playing in St. Louis. The game was pretty exciting, but it wasn't too fun. It was the day Mark McGwire got ejected and the Cardinals' fans got pretty bad. They were throwing stuff at all of the Braves. They were throwing back all of the fowl balls, mostly in the general direction of Glavine, and they even threw a bright pink frisbee at him as he was walking off the field.
Other than that the game was pretty good. I got to see Javy hit a homerun, which was really fun because it was the first one I had ever seen at a baseball game (the only other game I have been to was a Royals' game... not to exciting). I never realized either how far up they hit fly balls. I did get two "OK" pictures of Glavine, and one of Chipper. I got a pretty good look at The Big Cat, and Ozzie Guillen, but the camera wouldn't work. I didn't get an autographs, but I did get a sunburn. Two weeks later I got an autograph in the mail from Walt Weiss. Next year during Spring Training we are going to try and watch 4 or 5 games. If any of you have any tips on how to get good pictures, or maybe even an autograph at Spring Training, please email me.
