The Spirit Within Him

Soul, what is that anyway?
Ever thought about it?
The dictionary defines it as
"The spirit in man that is believed
to be separate from the body and is
the source of a person's emotional,
spiritual and moral nature."

To me, this means that his character, qualities,
disposition, temperament and sense of humor
come together to create the inner man;
The soul holds the secret to the inmost recesses of his heart.

These are the things that made my son who he was and made him your friend.

The spirit within him is the heartbeat of his soul.
This insures us that his soul remains free,
though his heart beats no more.
