Speaking of sweets! *S*
They're a bit wore out *S* This was taken at Big Cedar Lodge in Branson. We love to go there every winter. But at this time, the first weekend in December, it was a record 75 degrees.
It's a great place to visit & every night we would find these cookies on our pillow...in the shape of cedar trees, of course. The Old Swedish custom is to place one of these cookies (Swedish Pepparkakor's) in the palm of your hand. Make a wish. Using the index finger of your free hand, tap the cookie in the middle. Swedish tradition states that if the Pepparkakor breaks into three pieces, your wish will come true. If the Pepparkakor does not break into three pieces, you'll just have to savor the cookie in smaller portions. *S*
The boys had a great time with this, of course.
