My name is Mary-Ellen Taylor.
For high school I went to Bishop McGuinness in OKC. 
While there I was interested primarily in chorus, latin club, debate, art and acting. I made good grades while in school and took several honors classes. Here is a picture of me in a play.
After that I went to Stephens College in Missouri for awhile. While I was up at Stephens College in Missouri, I studied equestrian business management and journalism.
I was unable to finish my degree, but I had a great time while I was there. Here is a picture of me in my dorm room.
After coming home, I finally decided on a career in computers. I am going to finish a degree in computer programing. Currently I am not in school anymore but I plan to go back this fall. I am begining to think I am on the 10 year plan for college....so I will probably finish college by the time I am, oh, 40 or so.As long as one believes in themselves anything is possible, so I will continue to 
In my life I have traveled quite a bit. In the United States I have been all over, Boston, California, Missouri, Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, Hawaii. Here Is a picture of me in Hawaii, I am quite sunburned in it.
And here is a picture of me during a leadership conference I went to for "People to People International (a UN type group). This is in front of a museam in California.
Also I have traveled to England and Italy. I loved seeing Venice, it was gorgeous. And seeing Stonehenge in person was awesome.
England is a beautiful country, if the taxes werent so high I think I would live there. Italy was wonderful, and the people there were awesome. Here is me at a Roman bath in England.

As mentioned earlier another main interest in my life is arabian horses. I have raised and shown horses since I was a small child and will continue to do so for the rest of my life. 
Here is a picture of one of my horses, this is Geronimo, I have owned him for many years, and he was a great show horse.
My favorite types of music are as follows: Country, especially Garth Brooks (grin...I am from Oklahoma after all !!!), classical, the Doors, the Rolling Stones,
the Beatles, and classic rock in general, Sara McGlacklin , Jewel, Everclear, The Grateful Dead, and last but not least PHISH!
My other hobbies include art, coffee, camping, hiking, and politics. My favorite cartoons are the Smurfs and Garfield. I like the Smurfs because its a cute cartoon, but I also am obsessed with the subliminal message theories about them. For instance The Smurfs could be the corrupting influence of my generation and the cause of the problems that we have. Think about it, little blue guys that live in *'shrooms* and have a hippie-esque society. Yea,right, and that didn't corrupt us? LOL. On the issue of theories, the concept of a utopian society is interesting but impossible (with the fact that humans are corrupt and ethically devoid) 
Even though its a nice idea I think that a perfect world would be awefully boring!! This idea of peace
is idealitic but should be reserved for heaven.
Besides if the world was perfect now, where would religion be needed? If we had heaven here, what would we be looking foward too anyway? 
If I could make one "silly" purchase I would get an old VW van.If I had one I would put shag carpeting on the inside and paint the outside a dark purple with many flowers all over it. I think too, that I would hang a disco ball from the ceiling inside. Then I would travel the country selling my artwork out of the back of the van. But this idea of travelling the country is way to impratical, plus I love my life here in OKC way to much to leave. Also, where would my horses live... they couldn't ride in the van b/c they might eat the carpeting. Also, there are the dogs and the cats.... And the husband! Even though the idea of traveling the country with him and a van aint to bad, I dont think he would care for the idea..
Well I think I have finished rambling enough, look back in the future for new photos and updates!

WOW--eee I just looked and it has been 2 years since I updated my information. Wow time has flown. Well AOL sold my job to India, thanks jerks! So that threw me out into the work world where I quickly learned that there is no hope with a degree and destitution without. So I did like anyone and hussled my but back to school in Fall of 2003 and am still there now. Unfortunatly my dad died of cancer in Fall of 03 and that was rough as hell. He was my best friend and will always be missed. My kid is growing up fast, he is over 2 now. I cant believe how time has flown. We still live on our ranch in the sticks and life is good. Im praying for the financial aid gods to send me money!!! Would be nice to not be broke all the time. My major is psychology/premed, Im going to be a head doctor. that is either scary or cool depending on how you look at it. Well enough of my stuff for now. Email me at metaylorokc@aol.com
