This months equipment review is on DIA-COMPE BULLDOG BRAKES. These brakes are some of the few commonly used sidepull/caliper brakes used on quality bikes. Most bikes now use 990's or V-Brakes. So U and V brakes are better but if you have caliper brakes, i suggest next time you buy a new set of brakes that you get these brakes. The arms on these brakes are very stiff and require little toeing. Lots of calipers also are pathetic with plastic mags such as GT, ACS, and SKYWAY. Not these brakes, just add a little belt dressing to the rims and even after all that rubs off, the brakes still work wonders. These are also quite a bit cheaper than buying the mounts, and the brakes for your U brakes. I do plenty of braking in flatland and lots in street and jumping and these brakes are great for the job. - *666*
