She was the daughter of the late Ralph and Effie Mortimer and was born April 28, 1921 in the Town of Woodland. She attended Wonewoc High School.
On August 19, 1938, she married Clarence Wallendal at Valton. They lived in several mid-west cities and spent the past 14 years in Baton Rouge. Mrs. Wallendal had worked as a practical nurse.
Surviving are her husband, Clarence; two daughters, Mrs. James Jessie, Rosemead, Cal.; and Mrs. Ronnie Lipsey, Baton Rouge, LA, one son Richard of Baton Rouge; two sisters, Mrs. Gerald Stickler, Topeka, Kan.; Mrs. Paul Kintz, LaValle; two brothers, Keith Mortimer, Phoenix, Ariz., John Mortimer, Wonewoc; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Monday Feb. 21 in the Thompson Funeral home, Wonewoc. Interment was I the Valton cemetery, Rev. J. K. Peckham of the Wesleyan church officiated.
Pallbearers were: Walter Mortimer, Harvey Mortimer, Bob Zimmerman, Dennis Hauser, Harold Sosinsky, and Gail Jackson.
