Sarah Bull

Again we are called to mourn the loss of a dear old friend "Aunt Sarah" Mortimer as she was called by hosts of young and old who will miss her in so many places. "She has rested from her labors and works do follow her." Sarah, wife of Simeon Mortimer was born in England in Dec. 1824. She has been a resident of this commmunity for a great many years and is well known by all. She was converted when very young and has lived a christian life ever since. She was a member of the Brethern church and attended church as long as she was able. She was only sick a few days when the summons came, she died Friday morning Jan. 12, 1912, at the home of her son Noah. She leaves 4 children, 10 grand children, 14 great grand children, 1 sister in England besides other relatives and friends to mourn her loss. The funeral was conducted by Rev. Mrs. Markee, Sunday at the W.M. church and she was laid to rest in the Valton cemetery by her six grand sons acting as pall bearers.
