ACCIDENTAL DEATH
Simeon Mortimer, an old resident of the town of Woodland, and who lived about one and one-hallf miles north of Valton, met violent death last Monday. He was about to start for town and was in the wagon or buggy when in some unexlained manner the seat gave way and he was thrown to the ground, breaking his neck and causing instant death.. Mr.Mortimer was a farmer and for many years has been a frugal and highly respected resident of the town. He was about seventy-five years of age, and is survived by his wife, one daughter now Mrs. Charles Jordan and three sons, Noah, John and Albert, all living in the near vicinity. They have the sympathy of a large circle of friends in their sudden bereavement. The funeral was held Wednesday.
