Below is a picture of Cairnhill (see map).The phenomena would hover over these houses.

Below is a picture of the Whinwwod Plantation. The wood has mainly whins (gorse) and was inhabited by horses and rabbits! Muchalls Castle is behind this wood. The lights would hover over this wood for hours on end.

Below is a picture of Greenheads farm where the lights would also hover over for a short time. To the right (North) is Cairnhill and to the left (South) is the Whinwood Plantation.

Five miles to the South is the seaside town of Stonehaven where I went to school. The picture below is by the town square.
