Master P

Master P was born on April 29, 1970 to his parents Josie and Percy Miller. He grew up in the calliope projects in New Orleans. His real name is Percy Miller, Jr. His father was a police man, and his mother stayed home with the kids. Master P's grandfather, whom he called "Big Daddy", was his biggest influence. He has 3 brothers and 1 sister. His brothers names are Zyshonne Miller (Silkk), Corey Miller (C-Murder), and Kevin Miller, and his sister is Germany. When Percy was 11 years old, his parents divorced, and his mother and the family moved to Richmond, California. At this time, MASTER P and his brother Kevin were left responsible to raise the family, and so they were heavily involved in drug dealing. ALso, they were both varsity basketball players, and Master P was one of the top seniors in his class. He later would attend the University of Houston and play basketball there on a scholarship. But unfortunately a knee injury ended P's career short. Short after, P moved to California to join the rest of his family. Still Kevin Miller stayed in New Orleans, and was killed in 1990. Master P's grandfather died two months later. He received $10,000 dollars from his grandfather's death, which he used to open a record store called "No Limit Records". He hired his brothers to work there to get them off of the streets. Soon, he began recording songs, and selling tapes. After help from local companies to sell tapes, Master P decided to go nationwide with his rap career. He decided to turn "No Limit Records" into a record company. He released 7 albums on No Limit Records, which were Get Away Clean, Mama's Bad Boy, Ice Cream Man, 99 Ways To Die, Ghetto's Tryin To Kill Me, Ghetto D, and his last solo album called "Da Last Don". Ghetto D and Da Last Don both debuted as #1 on the billboard charts. He also has released 2 major movies entitled "I'm Bout It", and "I Got the Hook Up!" But "I'm Bout It" was banned from theatres and went straight to video. Even though he is done makin solo albums, you'll still hear plenty of "UHHHHH!!!'s " from P.... Master P is retired from solo albums, and is trying to concentrate on running the business.. But he will still be in groups called "The 504 Boyz" (W/ Mystikal and Silkk), and "TRU" (w/ C-Murder and Silkk). P is also workin on his acting career and is going to be in a lot of movies soon. Look for him in movies such as "I Got The Hook UP! 2," "Hot Boyz," "SCREAM 3" and "TAKEDOWN" coming soon. Also, he is directing films such as "Foolish," which is currently in theatres. P is also makin noise in the toy industry, releasing toy action figure dolls of him sayin UGHHH!!! After months in the CBA, Master P tried out for the NBA's Charlotte Hornets for the 99 season. He was expected to change to NBA's game and definitely boost the attendance at games. However, not long after the tryout P was dropped from the squad. One day P does hope to become a pro BBALL player tho. He has also become involved in WCW wrestling. Because of his great interest in sports, MP is now also a sports agent, and CEO of No Limit Sports Management. So let me sum that up for you-- At the age of 29, Master P is a CEO of a top music label, a sports agent, a professional CBA basketball player, an actor, one of the best rappers of all time, a converse endorsment, a film director, a book author, a wrestler, a clothes designer, a mall owner, an action figure, and one of America's Top Business Men!
