Debbie tile plate

If you find toys strewn cross the floor,
If you find the cat's tail in the door,
If you hear cries of sheer delight,
Or hear a pitter pat in the night.

If you see eyes that are saphire blue,
And a turned up nose looking at you,
If you see only an impish like smile,
That asks you to read for a little while.

If you see a little tyke of a child,
Who gets her way with only a smile;
If you see tears that break your heart,
And know you could love her from the start.

Then you have met Debbie, our little girl,
The one that keeps us in a whirl;
She's special to us, as you can see,
She's daddy's girl but she still loves me.

Debbie

Dreams do come true as evidenced by my youngest daughter, Debbie. This poem was written when she was a little girl and I do mean little. She was always very small for her age. She has grown into a petite woman with a heart of gold. Don't let that fool you, though, Debbie can be tough as nails when the going gets rough. She has suffered through several struggles in her short life but has come through them as a mature, loving, strong person. She now has a wonderful husband and two beautiful daughters to love.
