HE CAME
He came, God with us,
He came from sin to save;
He came with a cross in His heart,
Unconditional love was what He gave.
He came to a virgin girl,
He came to a carpenter mild;
He came to a dirty stable,
He came as a baby child.
He came among the donkeys and cows,
He came among the sheep;
He came to a bed of hay,
He came Knowing His mother would weep.
He came to the lowly shepherds,
He came to kings of the East;
He came and the angels sang,
He came as our high priest.
He came to heal the sick,
He came so the lame would walk;
He came to raise the dead,
He came so the dumb could talk.
He came to share the news,
Of His Father's amazing love;
He came to shepherd His flock,
He came from glory above.
He came to suffer beatings,
He came to suffer shame;
He came to conquer death,
He came so men were not the same.
He came and died for us,
He came filled with love;
He came so we could share His life,
So we could be with Him above.
He came to give us Christmas,
He came to give us joy;
He came to give us Easter,
He came to save us, girl and boy.
Chirstmas is not decorations,
Christmas is not a brass horn;
Christmas is not for the gifts,
Christmas is our Savior born.
