My Masterpiece

My masterpiece has long blond hair,
And deep blue eyes that burn and stare.

My masterpiece is young and free,
Which seems to fill her heart with glee.

My masterpiece is kind and good,
And would help anyone she could.

My masterpiece is neat and slim,
Her clothes are always clean and trim.

My masterpiece is named for a Lady great,
Who saved us all from the devil's fate.

My masterpiece, my daughter, my Mary.

The poem, My Masterpiece, is about my oldest daughter, Mary.
Mary loves the water. She loves to swim and go boating. The outdoors is her favorite place to be. Mary collects teddy bears and Cherished Teddies. I can proudly say that Mary received her Master's Degree in Accounting this year. It took several years of hard work while holding down a full time job and raising children, but she made it. This poem was written many years ago when Mary was a teenager. It says a lot about the person she was and still is.
