It's almost Christmas,
Excitement Fills the air;
The laughter of children
Can be heard everywhere.
Cookies have been baked,
And the tree has been trimmed;
Candles burn brightly
And our purses are slim.
Greetings have been sent
To our family and friends,
Children shout with glee
As their school day ends.
Bells will soon be
Ringing across the land,
As we all sing for joy
And give a helping hand.
Christmas is almost here,
Jesus' birth we celebrate;
Children want to see Santa,
As parents want to vegetate.
