I see you watching me,
I'm smarter than you might think;
I've got my owner figured out,
She makes sure I have food and drink.

Everyone thinks I have attitude,
Just because I know I'm the boss;
I run the show around this place,
I suffer very little loss.

My master's bed is so comfy,
And I take at least my share;
She fusses when I'm in her way,
She fusses when I play with her hair.

When my master is in her chair,
Watching a movie and wants to crochet;
I jump up in the middle of her lap,
Doesn't she know it is time to play?

Anytime that you want to sit down,
I expect undivided attention;
I like to play rough in the morn,
I'm not guided by convention.

I have a little green hummingbird,
That chirps as we play;
He is my favorite toy,
But I lose him every day.

I play with my little mice,
I throw them high in the air;
Then I pounce on them when they land,
I think that is quite fair.

My attitude is quite regal,
I act as though I'm the queen;
But try to find another so loving,
Such a one has never been seen.
