My best friend is Jesus Christ,
He is forever by my side;
He has never hurt me,
And He never tells me lies.

I can always count on Him,
For His love for me is true;
I am always looking for Him,

Jesus doesn't make time for me,
He is always at my side;
I don't make appointments with Him,
He is always along on the ride.

Yes, Jesus is my best friend,
He never disappoints me;
He fills me with His loving peace,
He helps me be what I can be.

My Lord is sovereign,
He guides me every day;
He makes sure I'm there,
And He shows me His way.

I love my friend, Jesus,
And Him I wish to serve;
I pray you will befriend Him,
And you will follow His curve.
