All I want from you is time,
That would be a marvelous gift;
An hour spent sharing our lives,
Would give my spirit such a lift.
A deliberate thought of me,
Running slowly through your mind;
A prayer would be exceptionally nice,
That life would always treat me kind.
All I want from you is love,
Not some high priced item or toy;
I want to know you have peace and hope,
I want your life to be filled with joy.
Tell me that your faith is strong,
And how Jesus fits into your life;
Tell me of all of your successes,
And even the days filled with strife.
All I want for Christmas each year,
Is the love of my family;
I wish for their time, their joy, their tears,
I wish only their faces to see.
As life grows shorter and days go by,
Wisdom has taught me over the years;
That only God and my family,
Can bring me happiness and quiet my fears.
