Candlelight and Christmas bells,
Wreaths and evergreens;
Christmas trees are everywhere,
It all makes a beautiful scene.
But it all has great meaning,
As we decorate for the big day;
The star that shines so bright,
Can lead us on our way.
The candy cane is a shepherd's hook,
The star shows us the way;
And if we pay attention,
We'll find the babe that lies in the hay.
It is the baby Jesus,
Born on earth to die:
He died on a cross to save us,
He shed His blood for you and I.
We can learn the life of Jesus,
It's written in God's Word;
On Christmas we celebrate,
The Son of God's humble birth.
