Gentle moments in this harried world,
Are so few and difficult to find;
Everyone is filled up with greed,
And days to get rich are timed.
But in the dawn of the day,
Moments with my Savior are calm;
He gently reminds me again,
That He holds me in His palm.
Gentle moments can be found,
When strolling through God's land;
Follow a path in the forest,
And birds will sing of God's stand.
I search for these gentle moments,
Try to find some each day;
For then I can be with my Lord,
And He can teach me His way.
I pray you can find these moments,
They will quiet and calm your heart;
For God is there in the silence,
Waiting for you to stand apart.
Gentle moments are spent with God,
As a Father He is anxious to see you;
I'm afraid in this broken, crazy world,
Our gentle moments are way too few.
