God's Example

God wanted an example of His love,
So He created the dog;
An animal wth unconditional love,
Who will lead one through the fog.

When his master opens the door,
He is greeted with pure joy;
When that one is hurting so,
The dog's comfort he can employ.

His dog will always protect him
And keep him safe from harm;
He will bring laughter to his master,
With his unending charm.

He will never stop loving,
As God's love never ends;
To one's emotional needs,
A dog forever tends.

And when the dog's life ends,
It's like losing a child;
But we can always remember,
The love so strong and mild.
