A
golden
Christmas
has
passed,
We
knew
it could
not
last;
Decorations
of red,
silver
and
gold,
Stories
of by-gone
days
were
told.
Music
of
the
season
filled
the
air,
It
goes
so
fast,
it
just
isn't
fair;
Lights
and
ornaments
adorn
a
tree,
Children
are
filled
with
joy
and
glee.
Candles
flicker
with
a
soft
glow,
As
carols
are
sung
in
a
voice
so
low;
The
scent
of
cookies
makes
us
hunger,
And
the
nativity
fills
us
with
wonder.
But
christmas
is
golden
not
by
these
things,
Nor
by
the
bells'
ding,
dong,
ding;
It's
families
together,
a
day
to
share,
Showing
their
love,
showing
they
care.
A
golden
Christmas
I
wish
for
you,
Someone
will
show
you
their
love,
too;
For
in love's
giving
can
be found,
The
love
of Christ
all
around.
