The greatest valentine ever received,
Was given me long ago;
No love will ever match His,
For He came to save my soul.

Jesus Christ, the Son of God,
Came to save me from my sin;
He didn't relish the suffering,
Or the murder by evil men.

With bleeding back and pounding head,
He walked a trail to death;
The shame He carried on His back,
Was my sin from my first breath.

No other love upon this earth,
Can compare to His love for me;
He gave His life on Calvary,
So I could be His eternally.

Though hearts and flowers may come my way,
I shall never forget the love;
That made Jesus give so much for me,
Guaranteeing heaven above.
