Kings and presidents rule the world,
Or so people think;
But, the truth of the matter is,
They're only on the brink.

The real rulers of this world,
Are often very quiet;
They fight the evil of this world,
With love and healthy diet.

With hugs and kisses and words of love,
Mothers can make a man or break him;
That's why on this Mother's Day,
I pray to God and thank Him.

He gave me a mother full of love,
To show me how to live with glee;
She taught me how to live life well,
She taught me how to fight men's greed.

She showed me beauty all around,
In flowers, plants, moon and sun;
I've learned to live every day,
With a little work and a little play.

So, thank you, Mom, for being here,
Thank you for the gifts you shared;
And even though I was often sad,
I've always known how much you cared.

Mothers are a special breed. She is strong enough to handle the most stressing problems and yet, soft enough to feel good in the arms of the man in her life. Mothers can dry a tear, kiss away a hurt and cook supper all at the same time. A mother can watch her daughter making a mistake and cry on the inside but still be there to pick up the pieces. Mothers are well known for having eyes in the backs of their heads. Mothers cook, clean, do laundry, help with homework, run a taxi service and still hold down another job. Yes, Mothers are a special breed and I am blessed with one of the best.
