Harvest
time weather claims the air,
As mums and scarecrows start
to appear;
I do believe summer is ending,
And harvest time is now here.
Autumn is a beautiful season,
Filled with color and play;
Thanksgiving will be here before
we know it,
And the heat of summer is gone
away.
Birds
are heading to the south,
So their little bodies can stay
warm;
Some hardy souls will stay around,
The cold will do them little
harm.
Pumpkins dot the yards and,
Scarecrows grace the landscape;
Leaves will soon be falling,
Which means we'll need our rake.
Mums
of maroon and gold,
Grace sidewalks, porches and
yards;
Their harvest time colors
Give us joyful rewards.
Autumn is a sensational season,
There are few who don't agree;
I love the flowers and cool
weather,
God made this harvest time,
you see.
