I see a baby in a manger,
Could this really be my God?
Would He put on human flesh,
And come to live on our sod?
Angels sang His glory,
And promised peace to us;
They were the only ones,
Who made a big fuss.
The shepherds were in awe,
As the angel announced the news;
They rushed toward Bethlehem,
What did they have to lose?
Wise men came from afar,
They traveled from the East;
Precious gifts they brought the King,
Even though He seemed the least.
Mary pondered all these things,
She wondered as she sighed;
One thing she did not know
Was her Son came to die.
As we celebrate this Christmas,
And the One who gave us reason;
Let's not forget His grace
And the blessed Easter season.
