My mother may have her faults,
She may be up in years;
But when I think of All she's given,
It quickly brings on the tears.

Mothers are a special creation,
That God put on this earth;
Being a mother is a bigger challenge,
Than, to a baby giving birth.

A mother must be forever willing,
To live each day for someone new;
Every day she works and prays,
Just to hear, "I love you!"

A mother's heart is never her own,
It is owned by her child;
Her heart fills with love,
Because her young one smiled.

With Mothers' Day approaching,
Think back through your life;
You'll find the nurse and teacher,
And the guide through daily strife.
