I have a pocket full of wishes
For Christmas this year;
I want lots of smiles
And nary a tear.

 

I want to see joy
On an old man's face;
I want to hear laughter,
And feel the Lord's grace.

 

I wish men and women
Could always live in peace;
I wish all that are down
On life would find a new lease.

 

I wish that all mankind
Would find my Lord;
Instead of fighting each other
And killing with the sword.

I wish children everywhere
Could grow up filled with love;
I wish their hearts were filled with grace
Given by my Lord above.

I have a pocket full of wishes
For Christmas this year;
I wish you joy and happiness,
And love for those you hold dear.
