Life has grown oh so fast
And nothing really seems to last;
How can I keep up this pace,
Without it showing upon my face?

I work hard every single day,
There's very little time for play;
I will always do my very best,
Then time will come for me to rest.

I'll support my son and help him grow,
My love for him, he'll always know;
I'll be there for my daughters, too,
Our moments together are far too few.

The day will come when I've done my part,
When my children are a work of art;
Then from this world I'll take my leave,
And I hope for me they will not grieve.

I will rest in the arms of my Lord,
The one who keeps me in accord;
The one whose love for me never dies,
The one who within me always abides.

There is no rest upon this earth,
If we're to show the world our worth;
But one day, way too soon I fear,
Rest will come and I'll shed no tears.

Life is hard but life is also good. God created a perfect world. It was us, His children, who have made it so hard to live in. We rush around constantly trying to obtain more and more, often forgetting that these things will not go with us when we leave this world. I pray that when my time on this earth is done I will not be remembered for the things I had but for what I gave.
