Life
has grown oh
so fast
And nothing
really seems
to last;
How can I keep
up this pace,
Without it
showing upon
my face?
I work hard
every single
day,
There's very
little time
for play;
I will always
do my very
best,
Then time will
come for me
to rest.
I'll support
my son and
help him grow,
My love for
him, he'll
always know;
I'll be there
for my daughters,
too,
Our moments
together are
far too few.
The day will
come when I've
done my part,
When my children
are a work
of art;
Then from this
world I'll
take my leave,
And I hope
for me they
will not grieve.
I will rest
in the arms
of my Lord,
The one who
keeps me in
accord;
The one whose
love for me
never dies,
The one who
within me always
abides.
There is no
rest upon this
earth,
If we're to
show the world
our worth;
But one day,
way too soon
I fear,
Rest will come
and I'll shed
no tears.
