Resurrection Day

Resurrection Day draws near,
The day Jesus left the grave;
For all of us, who He loves,
His life on a cross He gave.

Now we can loudly celebrate,
Our souls can find peace;
We can be with Jesus,
And enjoy the eternal feast.


Easter isn't about bunnies and eggs,
It's not about the candy that's found;
It's about a God-man named Jesus,
Who rose from the dead without a sound.


He gave us a chance to be holy,
He gave us a chance to live;
Can you tell of anyone else
Who, for you, had so much to give?

This Easter let us shout for joy,
Let us sing songs of praise;
Let us thank our loving Father,
For the Son that He did raise.
