She waits and wonders if he will come,
To strengthen her faith and hold her heart;
She loves this man but doubts and fears,
Creep into her mind with them apart.

She wants to believe she's his world,
But the past makes her quiz and doubt;
Can a man love her so much,
That with her he wouldn't want to be without?

This waiting game is hard to play,
In his eyes she wants to see her place;
She wants to hold him close to her,
She wants to look into his face.

Sometimes she feels she is his toy,
That he plays with her to have his fun;
But when they spend their time together,
Then she feels that they are one.

Love is scary to her mind,
She gets confused and starts to hurt;
But one thing she knows deep inside,
Her heart's been stolen; that's for cert'.

So she sits and waits and wonders why,
She sent her heart so far away;
To a man miles and miles from here,
And with this man her heart will stay.
