My
Best
Friend,
John
1944
-

Somewhere
in
time,
We
each
found
a
friend;
When
our
hearts
were
broken,
And
needed
to
mend.
We
talked
for
many
hours,
We
never
ran
out
of
things
to
say;
And
when
we
finally
met,
We
wished
we
could
stay.
We
were
lovers
for
a
while,
But
we
knew
it
couldn't
be;
We
each
had
a
life,
We
each
had
family.
But
the
friendship
never
ended,
It
remained
oh
so
strong;
We
didn't
see
each
much,
The
times
between
were
long.
But
now
you're
gone,
my
friend,
Your
home
is
with
the
Lord;
But
I
know
you
will
remember
me,
When
it's
my
turn
at
the
door.
I'll
never
forget
the
time
shared,
Or
those
moments
so
sublime;
And
I
know
that
we
will
meet
again,
Somewhere
in
time.
