Even
though the Easter Bunny
May try to claim the day;
I'll tell the real story of
Easter
In my own and special way.
My Lord, Jesus, came as a
man
Sin free and only good;
He laid down His life for
me,
When they nailed His hands
to wood.
He suffered pain and degradation,
They showed Him no respect;
They didn't understand His
servitude,
They didn't like His intellect.
Joseph of Arimathea
Had a tomb to place Him in;
A huge stone and a guard
Kept others from going within.
But,
oh what a surprise,
When on the third day they
came;
He was no longer in the tomb,
An angel confirmed the same.
"He has risen as He said,"
The angel reported to them;
So, now our souls have been
saved,
If we truly believe in Him.
Alleluia, we celebrate Easter,
And great joy fills my soul;
He wants us to spread His
story,
So the whole world can know.
