I want to see flowers,
Watch the kids having fun;
I want all the color
Of a place in the sun.
Winter has lost its luster,
The cold has crept into bones;
Snow is no longer pretty,
It has changed all our tones.
I'm hungry for the spring,
New life coming to all;
I'm ready for the beauty,
I want the sun before fall.
A place in the sun to rest,
Trees with leaves of green;
Flowers in colorful dress,
Will fill up my dreams.
The Lord gave us winter,
But also summer for fun;
Soon spring will be here,
I'll have a place in the sun.
