When
I first saw Father John
I saw, there, my teddy bear;
Cute, lovable and round,
With so much love to share.
Of Father John I make not fun,
He
shares an honor great;
For God let us have teddy bears,
To help us through our fate.

So when
I see him in our church,
With hands raised above;
It is then that I must know,
In God, I'll find love.
So, Father John, do not laugh,
And do not wear a frown;
But be glad when you say mass,
That vestments are not brown.
