In a land far, far away
On this very special day;
A babe was born to save mankind;
From sins of body, soul and mind.

A carpenter's son he was said to be;
But He's God's only son to you and me;
He fulfilled what prophets did say,
He came to this earth to show us the way.

He came as a babe in swaddling clothes,
With ten little fingers and ten pink toes;
Angels announced the baby's coming,
Heavens were filled with angelic humming.

A star shone bright over the land,
Three kings it gave a helping hand;
Their gifts to the child were majestic indeed,
But the gift of the child would set men free.

Jesus is the reason we celebrate,
Let's rid ourselves of fear and hate;
Let's pass along peace all year long,
And keep our Christmas spirit strong.

Christmas is a very special time of year to me. I enjoy sharing the holidays with my family but, most of all, I enjoy the sense of peace that fills the air. Wouldn't it be wonderful if this sense of peace lasted all year. It can if we will only let it. Remember, the greatest revenge is forgiveness.
