I'm waiting for spring,
When God dresses the trees in green;
When flowers bloom in vibrant colors,
And green grass is once again seen.

The cold winds will blow no more,
Snow will be in the past;
Days will again become longer,
And we can be outdoors at last.

I'm waiting for the glorious sun,
When birds will cheerfully sing;
Their nests will start to appear,
We will see the new life God brings.

In spring we celebrate Easter,
We remember Jesus died for our sin;
We celebrate His glorious resurrection,
And how we can go to the Father again.

I'm waiting for the spring,
Winter has seemed so long;
But when God paints the earth,
I will greet His color with song.
