Today we honor and we remember,
Those who died for freedom in our land;
We pray and we hope,
There will always be some who stand.

Freedom is such a precious gift,
For it we should always give thanks;
Praise God for the country we inhabit,
It may not be perfect but it is high in rank.

The graves of the brave men and women,
Who have died for our freedom;
Should make us thank God and
Ask Him to be here because we need Him.

Families lost husbands and wives,
They lost a daughter or a son;
They are hopefully in the arms of our Savior,
Because their job here is done.

I thank and pray for these families,
Let us not forget on this Memorial Day;
Those who died thought freedom was worth it,
And the high price they were willing to pay.
