Who Cares?

There's a man in my life,
Who says he doesn't want a wife.

I didn't tell him that I want to marry,
But he knows I want to tarry.

I have to smile for I know,
this is a man whose love grows slow.

If I am never to be his wife,
Who cares? Just so I am his for life.

All I really want to do,
Is to love this man - support him too.

He's kind and strong and good and giving,
And he works so hard for a living.

In him is strength and with him I find,
A special joy and peace of mind.

No, his love does not come fast,
But once it grows, I'm sure it will last.

If the day never comes that we are wed,
I'll still love him and warm his bed.
