The door to heaven was locked,
Because man had learned to sin;
And there was no way for man,
To unlock it and get in.
God, however, knew the answer,
Jesus Christ is the key;
But to get us through that door,
He had to pay a mighty fee.
He had to die upon a cross,
And shed His precious blood;
But now the grace and forgiveness,
We receive could cause a flood.
The window to heaven is open,
We can picture eternal life;
But if you want in the door,
Jesus must master your life.
Following Jesus isn't always easy,
Some days get really hard;
But we can peek in the window to heaven,
And picture our final reward.
The window to heaven becomes foggy,
When Satan steals our joy;
But we have a weapon against him,
God's Word we can employ.
The door to heaven is open,
To those who believe and trust;
So, open your heart to Jesus,
His love to you He'll thrust.
