Winter Blues
Snow again covers the ground,
Birds utter nary a sound;
The air is crisp and oh so cold,
It's in the bones of young and old.
Winter tries to drive away laughter,
Tears are what he's seeking after;
But even in winter Jesus is here,
His presence always brings me cheer.
Soon God will retrieve his paint brush,
And paint the world in a big rush;
Grass will turn green and need to be mowed,
Flowers will bloom from seeds that we sowed.
Easter will come in all its glory,
To tell us Jesus' amazing story;
How He died upon a cross,
To save us all who were lost.
If winter blues invade your heart,
Remember God is faithful from the start;
He never fails to show us grace,
When we stay true to the race.
Spring will come, I am sure of it,
God will make the seasons shift;
Smiles will grace the face of all,
As we enjoy spring, summer and fall.
