PWL BIGTIME WRESTLING

MONDAY, JULY 17, 2000 @ BROWNS GROUNDS, ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI.

Bigtime in a Nutshell:

In Slightly More Detail:

PWL President GENE WEST opened the event by announcing the matches booked for IYH3. The main event will pit World champion The Terror against North American champion Schoolhouse Rocky.

KERMIT THE FROG interviewed SCHOOLHOUSE ROCKY. SHR repeatedly gave West the thumbs-up and made cryptic remarks regarding "the June 10th incident." When asked by Kermit to go deeper, Rocky would only say, "It wasn't my time before, but soon there'll be nobody left in the back to keep the World title away from me. Mr. West has assured me of this." The fact that Rocky referred to himself in the first person struck Kermit as baffling.

First Match: NAUGA wrestled ORKO (w/ SKELETOR) to a no-contest at 3:11. This match was ruined by the arrival of Midgets' champion CAP'N CRUNCH, who was laughed off by Kermit and GUY SMILEY. Crunch decided to involve himself in the matchup by attacking both participants before being chased off by Skeletor. Nothing spectacular, but we give it *****.

Second Match: SUPER ELASTIC defeated SIGGI SHROYER by pinfall in 6:27. Fabulous, well-paced match, with the champion gaining the upperhand in the end with the Elasticator and pinfall. Kermit noted the absence of Shroyer ally WEIRD HAROLD, but did not question his whereabouts.

Kermit interviewed THE TERROR, seemingly unnerved by the insider comments directed at him earlier by Schoolhouse Rocky. Terror informed Kermit that he'd been rumored to job the belt away hundreds of ties since he won it, and look who still rules this organization.

Third Match: M. KLEATS pinned SKELETOR (w/ ORKO) in 5:25. Cap'n Crunch made yet another appearance, as he brawled with Orko back to the dressing room. This sufficiently distracted Skeletor, and he had no chance to upend the former NA champ with his buddy at ringside. After the match, Kermit attempted to ask Kleats where his manager, MONDO MBAMBA, has been recently, but M. brushed Frog aside.

Fourth Match: LONG SWEET LIPS (TANKA SATCHMO and FOOT) defeated NC-17 (DIRK MERCURY and TRIPLE X) by disqualification in 6:09 when X attacked Satchmo with a lewd illegal object. Standard fare from the PWL, thereby making it another ***** match. Kermit received no answer from LSL when they were asked about Mondo.

As Kermit sat bck down alongside Guy, Mondo phoned Kermit. He told Kermie to stop bothering his men, and that he will reveal himself when his mammoth deal is "damn good and ready, Frog."

Gene West booked the evening's main event, The Terror and The Pillars of Pain versus Schoolhouse Rocky, Non, and Grimace.

Fifth Match: MRS. BUTTERWORTH pinned KITTY LEE in 3:07 to retain the Women's World championship. During this contest, Kermit strongly suggested that Mrs. B may soon be facing newer, tougher opponents, if what Gene West told him was correct. Butterworth goes over in another average ***** battle.

Sixth Match: FAT ALBERT defeated BIG SID SMITH (w/ MR. McMASTER) by disqualification in 7:10 when Smith attacked Albert with an ice-cream cone and magic red cowboy boots. The description in the previous sentence should explain it all. Still, it was good for what it was, whatever that may be. This bout was probably the one written by the PWL Booking Staff at one of Sauget's finest establishments.

Seventh Match: SUPER HEAVY won a Three-Way Match also involving GENERAL ZOD (w/ URSA) and STARSHINE HIPPIE in 7:01 he pinned Zod. Non ran interference here, reminding everybody that he was still engaged in some type of feud with his former friend, Zod. His timely intereference proved timely for time-conserving Super Heavy, who pinned Zod in the nick of time, and in a timely fashion. Time of the match is shown above.

Your Main Event: SCHOOLHOUSE ROCKY, GRIMACE, and NON defeated THE TERROR and THE PILLARS OF PAIN (GOLEM and QUARTZ) in 13:47 when Rocky pinned Terror after distractions aplenty from Gene West. In particular, west distracted Terror by slamming a rolling pin in the back of the champion's head. As West is the head of the PWL, referee TONY PLOW could not do anything about it, and counted the deciding pinfall. Afterwards, a groggy Terror promised revenge on Cap'n Crunch for letting his hero by humiliated.
