PWL News and Information for April 21, 1999.
With all the backstage dealings, the PWL has been a bit frazzled in the
wake of WRESTLERAMA 13. We apologize for the lack of updates.
Hopefully, all the ugliness is behind us, so we can get back to the usual
bizarre PWL action.
-
It is now official: former North American heavyweight champion RONALD McDONALD
is back under PWL contract. "It's good to hear the roar of the crowd
again. It's like I never left, and the fans have been nothing but
great to me since I've returned. Sure, I want to get that North American
strap back around my waist, but that Terror has enough people gunning for
him, and all I want to do now is but my gloves around the neck of that
punk-@$$ Grimace. Hell, does he even have a neck? The guy's
so damn fat. Is he even a guy? Grimace, you purple jackass,
you've taken out most of McDonaldland, but you just try and get past the
clown prince. After we meet, we'll all go back to my place, and serve
up Grimaceburgers."

Yes, current North American champion THE TERROR does indeed have many wrestlers
ready to take him to school, if you will. On the 25th, Strike Force
member CARNAGE will attempt to wrest away the N.A. strap. Terror
himself has accepted the open challenge of FAT ALBERT, and these two will
no doubt face off in the future. Also, according to Terror, it seems
he and PWL President GENE WEST have agreed to a PLAGUE-Terror rematch for
the World heavyweight championship to take place at the PWL's next supershow
on June 2. While there is no official word yet from the PWL Offices,
the match would indeed be much anticipated, and hopefully well received,
if and when it is officially announced.
-
Our World Champion, meanwhile, is taking things one match at a time, it
seems. Plague will square off against GRIMACE this Sunday (and if
Plague's in a good mood, he'll leave some left for Ronnie Mac). Future
opponents for the titleholder will likely include JOE THE GIANT, Fat Albert,
and as mentioned, The Terror.
-
The tag team situation seems to be focusing on three teams: World champions
THE PILLARS OF PAIN, former champs STRIKE FORCE, and the always outrageous
NC-17. These teams will be taking on each other in various combinations
in the coming weeks, and a three-way dance on June 2 for the championships
is definitely not out of the question.
-
There has been talk recently that two powerful groups formerly in the PWL
may be resurfacing, and angrier than ever. All we can do right now
is cryptically ask: Will "Order" be restored in the PWL? And will
it be a "Dog's Life" once again in the PWL? Who can tell?
-
Two things for certain are that cruiserweight phenom VENOM and the rough,
tough lady known as ELIZA BLADE will be climbing the rankings in short
order, and should be receiving championship shots in the next several weeks.
Already that June 2 date is talked about around the Offices for both wrestlers.
-
That's all the news for this time. Hopefully, the news will keep
piling up in the PWL, so we can put out more and more news pages.
Until next time, thanks to everyone for supporting the PWL.
