PWL News and Information for July 8, 1999.
The next big card in the PWL is set for Saturday, July 31. This will
be the second annual IN YOUR HEAD supershow, to be held in St. Louis.
As always, expect all of the PWL's championships to be on the line, and
as this past weekend's series of title changes proved, don't be surprised
if anything and everything happens at IYH. Furthermore, anything
is possible in the days leading up to IYH. As you know, THE TERROR
lost, then regained the World heavyweight championship, and right on his
tail is the two-time noth American champion PLAGUE. Being the number
one contender, Plague could very well demand a World title shot at any
time, thus making things quite bloody interesting in the organization.
The official card for IN YOUR HEAD will be released by the PWL Suits by
Wednesday, July 14, and perhaps sooner.
In other PWL News:
-
That tag team we mentioned in the May 27 report, the one that possibly
was returning to the PWL? Well, they will be at the IYH show, it's
only a question of what role they will play.
-
SKELETOR has been wrestling at independent cards recently, but he will
appearing at PWL-sponsored cards and events in the coming weeks.
-
HAARLEM HEAT has become rather outspoken as of late. Their new, brash
attitude could serve them well, as they have moved up the tag team rankings.
With a little more experience, these two could be in line for major matches
and title shots.
-
WAFFLE HOUSE has also petitioned the PWL for high-profile matches.
Rumor has it that he will form some sort of alliance with HUNGRY JACK and
MRS. BUTTERWORTH.
-
Recently signed to jobber contract in the PWL include: ROAST BOUNTY, HOUSE
RAT, THE BAGGY PANTS PLAYERS, and THE FILTHY WEIRDOS.
-
DUH CHEE has returned to the PWL cruiserweight scene, and is already angling
into a chance at VENOM's World cruiserweight strap.
-
ROPE THE DOPE has taken time off for reasons he refused to reveal.
-
Also on the rumor mill: the three-man alliance of international greats,
FU, THE BIG HEAD GUY, and THE FAT DUDE are negotiating with the PWL about
a possible run in the organization.
-
Additionally, the PWL has begun talks with independent wrestler THE FIREFIGHTER.
For those who don't know, this crowd pleaser is always seen wearing his
feathered helmet, is accompanied to the ring by his hose, and utters his
memorable tag line, "Pumpin' ain't easy."
That's all the news we have for today. Hopefully, our next news report
won't take another month and a half to write. As always, thanks to
everybody for checking out PWL Online, as well as supporting the PWL in
general.
