PWL News and Information for August 11, 1999.

The Professional Wrestling League has decided to discontinue our individual
divisions of midgets and women's competition. We will continue to
provide midgets and women's matches as part of our PWL cards, but decisions
involving booking will be determined by authorities independent of the
PWL. The PWL Midgets' World championship, held by CAP'N CRUNCH, and
the PWL Women's World championship, held by URSA, will now be independent
championships, known respectively as the Midgets' World championship and
the Women's World championship. Though now independent of the PWL,
these championships will continue to be recognized as legitimate world
championships by the Professional Wrestling League. Additionally,
top ten rankings of midget and female competitors will no longer be determined
by the Professional Wrestling League, but shall be done by the afore-mentioned
independent authorities. Whether or not they choose to reveal contender
rankings is now their decision, and the PWL will not interfere with their
decisions.

As you may have noticed, the PWL has been running two cards per night.
This will contiue for the remainder of the week.

JOE THE GIANT and THE TERROR made their tag team debut Tuesday night in
Overland Park, and looked quite impressive. A run at the tag team
championship in the near future is not out of the question.

With JTG and Terror teaming up, PLAGUE seemingly out of the PWL, and FAT
ALBERT holding the North American championship, who's left as a legitimate
threat to World heavyweight champion RONALD McDONALD? Two-day ex-champ
SETH has been demanding title shots recently, as has perennial crowd favorite
COOLEROY. Don't forget another former World champion, HUMAN TORNADO.
These three grapplers, should they get a real chance, could walk away with
the gold at any time. The World title has changed hands more times
in 1999 than any previous year, and the juggling might not be ready to
end.
That's the news for now. Keep on stopping by PWL ONLINE.
